Shontay Lewis is a 2010 graduate of School Without Walls in Rochester, New York.

In the fall of 2010, Ms. Lewis will be a freshman at Cazenovia College in Cazenovia, New York.

She will pursue a degree in Fashion Design.  Her aim is to launch an International Clothing Line after college.

Shontay has been active in her church community and has volunteered to work with children throughout High School. She plans to continue her community involvement activities in the future.

Ms. Lewis has a strong desire to succeed. In Her own words, she states: ”Deciding to go to college was not a big decision for me. I know that education represents success and I want to be successful not only in my career, but with goals that I set for myself as well.”

Shontay has exhibited the values and academic standards needed to be a STAAR Leaders Scholar. The scholarship sponsor and STAAR Leaders are pleased to have Shontay as the 2010 Gladys Nyadua scholarship recipient.
